Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Sheriff’s deputies remind you to ring in the new year safely. They are out in force looking for drunk drivers. In the past four days, deputies along with their AVOID the 15 law enforcement partners have conducted DUI checkpoints and saturation patrols all over San Diego County. The anti-drunk driving team has contacted nearly 5,000 cars and arrested 10 people for DUI in four days.

The Poway Sheriff’s Station also conducted a shoulder tap operation and cited three people for buying alcohol on behalf of the minor decoy. Remember, it is against the law to provide alcohol to anyone under 21.
