Ho, Ho, Ho! Start the Day with Santa!

Better get started on that wish list. Santa Claus is coming to town and not just once but several times.

Starting Saturday, Dec. 5, Santa is coming to breakfast! Over the next few weekends, he’ll stop by all three of County Parks’ community centers and for good measure, San Dieguito County Park, too.

So have that wish list handy and ready to go. Between servings, you can drop hints on what you really want to see under the tree.

The first breakfast takes place from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Lakeside Community Center. Pancakes, bacon and sausage are on the menu. Morning activities also include touch tables, arts and crafts with Miss Lakeside, writing letters to Santa, face painting, performances by Tumble Wee Dance, caroling by the Pickwick Players, story time, a photo with Santa and a gift from Santa for the kids! With admission, you will also get the opportunity to win a San Diego Chargers 2015 Antonio Gates Laser Ball, backpacks, healthy cooking recipes for kids and more.

The event costs $5 per person and children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call the Lakeside Community Center at (619) 443-9176.

Is your calendar full that weekend? Don’t worry, Santa returns for breakfast the following Saturday, Dec. 12, only this time at the Fallbrook Community Center. From 8 to 10:30 a.m. there will be another hot breakfast, arts and crafts, caroling and one-on-one time with Santa himself.

Admission is $4 for children under the age of 4 and $5 for anyone older. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call the Fallbrook Community Center at (760) 728-1671.

Luckily, Santa is a big breakfast person! Later that same morning, he’s heading out to San Dieguito Park in Del Mar for a continental breakfast. You’re also invited to grab a plate and meet Santa. There will also photo opportunities with the jolly old elf and arts and crafts.

This event takes place from 10 a.m. to noon. Seating is limited so an RSVP is needed to attend. If you RSVP by Dec. 9, you’ll save $2 per person on admission. After that date, tickets will be $8 for kids 2 to 5 years old and $10 for anyone over the age of 6. You can reserve your tickets by calling (858) 755-2386 or by emailing maggie.tull@sdcounty.ca.gov.

If you miss out, you’ll have one last opportunity to have breakfast with Santa before the big day. He’ll stop by the Spring Valley Community Center at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19. Pancakes will be the order of the day and don’t be surprised if you hear some carolers, too! The event is $4 for children under 12 and $5 for ages 12 and over. For more information, call (619) 479-1832.
