The County is celebrating the 40th year of hosting its annual blood drive. Starting April 2, people are invited to roll up their sleeves and donate. The demand for blood is constant and critical for people in need of surgery, certain cancer treatments and for anyone who has suffered blood loss from a traumatic injury. The donation process is simple to schedule but can make a lifelong difference to people like Sara Fuentes and her daughter, Alina.

You don’t have to wait for the County blood drive to donate. Visit the San Diego Blood Bank and schedule an appointment today.
